I have chosen the song Keep Your Head Up by Ben Howard. The reason I have chosen this song to make a promotional video for is because it will allow me to set the tone of the song rather easily. By this, I mean that the mood of the song is evident all the way through, even though it frequently changes. These changes are known as the dynamics of the song. The dynamics show how fast or how slow a song is going. This therefore sets a tone of joy and happiness when the tempo is faster, and sadness when the tempo is low. With this knowledge firmly in my mind, I will be able to record footage that matches these tones more easily than with some of Ben's other songs.

As you can see from the graph above, the song starts off slowly and rather tamely. However, it quickly picks up pace as the second verse come in. At the choruses, the song is at it's fastest but soon drops down. This tells me that at the choruses, Ben is at his happiest, however, soon after, realisation of his situation kicks in and then he is back to square one. This pattern is repeated 3 times throughout the course of the song.
